Transform your mind, transform your life

Welcome to the Think Elevate blog!

Transform your mind, transform your life is what we're about.

Elevate Mental Health is a South African private psychotherapy practice that promotes the emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing of individuals, families, and the community.

In offering psychological assistance to children, adolescents, and adults, we are committed to elevating the importance of good mental health. We believe that everyone is capable of both living well, and being well.

We’re blogging because...

One in four individuals will be affected by mental health concerns at some point in their lives. Only one-third of those people will be helped by a health professional in their time of need.

The prevalence of difficulties experienced by such a large number of people highlights a shared human experience, however stigma and discrimination prevent care and treatment from reaching people who need it.

At Elevate Mental Health we believe that through effective communication, the conversation around mental health can become one of acceptance, openness, and respect.

Through empathy and responsiveness we aim to enhance each individual's unique experience of being in, and reacting to, the world.

This blog is us contributing to the conversation.

Creating awareness. Helping someone who may need to hear that they’re not alone.
We want to get you talking about the importance of mental health, equity, diversity, and inclusivity. Issues that we believe are important to all South Africans.

Inclusivity, awareness, acceptance, and access to care are crucial to challenge the stigma responsible for the invisible mental health epidemic causing devastation globally and in South African homes. We will be discussing all this and more in the blogs to come. Join us in the #thinkelevate tank.

You can expect regular posts where we aim to become a platform encouraging mental, emotional, and psychological wellness.

We truly believe that if you transform your mind, you can transform your life.

Let's get going in elevating the mental health agenda!
