Why would I need therapy?

To heal or shift a certain aspect of myself or my life

If you are navigating the world as a Millennial woman, man, or non-binary person, and you are feeling discontent with how your time, energy, and mental and emotional capacity is being allocated, it's possibly time to consider starting your very own therapy process.

Here are some examples of individual concerns that sessions can focus on:

  • Therapy for grief, bereavement, and loss
  • Therapy for personal growth and development
  • Therapy for past and recent traumatic incidents
  • Therapy for being overwhelmed by mainly negative emotions

How will sessions help me?

By increasing my well-being, and decreasing my pain-points

Just as every individual is different, so is every person's goal for therapy and the concerns that we will address.

If you aim to increase your confidence or main character energy, your capacity to manage irritability, frustration, or anger, or your acceptance of life stages, improving your thoughts, behaviours, and responses will be what we will work towards.

Alternately, if you're wanting to decrease difficult experiences like being confused or edgy, feelings of imposter syndrome related to your career, or negative emotions including anxiety, depression, sadness, and loneliness, then alleviating your distress will be our focus.

What happens in session with Hmrithi?

Being able to lean into and trust the therapy process

In the initial consult, both you and Hmrithi will decide if this feels like a good relational fit to begin the therapy journey together. After getting to know you, and with your input, Hmrithi will discuss a treatment plan that's appropriate for your current needs and concerns.

As your therapist, Hmrithi will work in tandem with you to help you to improve the quality of your life, elevate your mental health, and achieve your wellness goals.

Structure

Sessions are structured as follows:

Therapy with adults

  • Sessions are on a weekly basis
  • Each session is 50 minutes long
  • Sessions may be in-person or online
  • The therapy process usually consists of a minimum of 6 - 8 sessions
  • Treatment plan and number of sessions to be discussed following initial consult

Rates

Informed by medical aid rates:

Medical aid clients

  • Most medical aids are accepted and sessions are claimed at the tariff rate of your scheme
  • Medical aids include Discovery, Bankmed, Bonitas, Momentum, GEMS, CAMAF, etc.

Self-payment clients

  • Therapy is R990.00 per 50 minute session
  • Payment is required at the end of a session

  • Medical aid claims are processed by Elevate through our system
  • Please check with your medical aid to ensure therapy is covered by your plan

Self-payment clients

  • Payment through cash or card is accepted
  • Payment is required at the end of a session
